After the flower show at Governor House garnered much love and attention from the city folks, Lucknow has welcomed a beguiling blossom for the second time in the month. The two-day flower exhibition has already become a magnet for all flora-enthusiasts and budding floriculturists. Being organised by the municipal corporation at Dr. SC Rai Park, the floral presentation invites you for an enchanting tour!
Artistic arrangements and models leave visitors bewitched!
At this flower show, you will be acquainted with detailed information about different kinds of flowers. Not just this, the event is also a treat for all home gardeners wishing to strengthen their grip over planting and gardening methods. Along with the presence of the city mayor, the colourful flower fair was launched by the Deputy Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh.
The scintillating spectrum formed by an array of flowers and plants is leaving its audience completely awe-struck! Visitors can get complete information about the flower through printed sheets available at the event. The flowers arranged in artistic patterns and modelled as mushrooms and peacocks, amongst other things, surely account for a soothing experience for your eyes. Amongst a string of interesting stalls, the one set up by National Botanical Research Institute is wooing the maximum number of city dwellers, with their anti-pollution plants, that can easily be grown at homes.
Painting competition organised for children
Produce from 48 city parks in Lucknow have been put to display at this exhibition. On Sunday evening, the gardeners will be honoured by Urban Development Minister Ashutosh Tandon ‘Gopal’ at 4 pm. The horticulture superintendent from the Municipal Corporation, Gangaram Gautam informed that the entities were chosen in parks, gardens and other categories. In the Teacher Institute category, Model House Park qualified the selector’s cut.
Apart from the flower show, the event also witnessed a painting competition for children. School children from different parts of the city participated in the competition, making a show of their creative and aesthetic skills. Bringing the thrill of a bustling crowd amid a picturesque blossom of flowers, the environment was completely enveloped in festive fervour.
