Kankaria Zoo receives new animals from Maharashtra
Kankaria Zoo in Ahmedabad has expanded its wildlife collection through an animal exchange, receiving two tigresses and six leopards (three females and three males) from the Wildlife Rescue Centre in Gorewada, Maharashtra.
The animals will be kept in isolation for a month before being made available for public viewing. With this addition, Kankaria Zoo now houses over 2,100 animals.
Police issue guidelines for Navratri events, mandate midnight curfew
The Commissioner of Police has issued new guidelines for Navratri celebrations. Garba events are permitted only until midnight, and organizers using loudspeakers after 12 AM in societies, party plots, or flats will face penalties.

Due to double line construction in the Mehsana-Palanpur section, the Sabarmati-Jodhpur-Sabarmati Express will face partial cancellations. Train No. 14822 Sabarmati-Jodhpur Express will be partially cancelled between Sabarmati and Abu Road from the 29th of September to the 8th of October 2024, while Train No. 14821 Jodhpur-Sabarmati Express will also be cancelled between Abu Road and Sabarmati from the 28th of September to the 7th of October 2024.
