Aloe vera may be useful in making memory chips & other data storage devices: IIT Indore study

It has been deciphered that Aloe Vera contains an "electronic memory effect chemical"!

Having a range of medicinal and nutritional properties, aloe vera may be deployed for usage in memory chips of electronic devices. Through the discovery of "electronic memory effect chemical" in Aloe Vera, a study by the Indian Institute of Technology Indore has predicted such possibilities. As per reports, an official from the top-notch technical institution apprised that plant may be used in memory chips and other electronic storage devices, given the presence of this property.

Passage of electric current through fruit juice brings forth the finding

With an objective to explore the characteristics, the Materials and Device (MAD) laboratory of the Physics Department at the college conducted this study. Amongst the notable findings, the probable usability of aloe vera in memory chips has garnered widespread attention.

Reportedly, an Associate Professor at IIT-Indore's Physics Department informed about the experiment in which an electric current was made to pass through the aloe vera fruit juice. After making a note of the observations during this process, the experts concluded that the plant has an "electronic memory effect chemical". As per reports, the learned lecturer also stated that the conductivity can be increased or decreased.

Natural chemical could replace the synthetic chemical being used today

The professor acquainted that the study was conducted by a group of Ph.D. students. He informed that synthetic chemicals are used in the fabrication of data storage devices like memory chips currently. Once in-depth research is conducted, the natural chemical found in aloe vera fruit juice might open up a new vista in place of synthetic chemicals with which these devices are made. If the current expectations materialise, a synthetic source will be replaced by a natural source.
