After the state registered a steep decline in COVID-19 cases, Madhya Pradesh CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan announced via his Twitter handle to revoke the night curfew placed in the entire state from today. Along with other Pandemic mandated restrictions, the Night curfew will also no longer be in place. The decision came following a COVID-19 review meeting held this afternoon. Earlier, the night curfew imposed to prevent coronavirus infections was in place from 11:00 PM to 5:00 AM.
Fewer than 1000 cases in the last few days

According to the Health Department records, there have been fewer than 1000 cases reported in the last four days in MP. A total of 847 fresh COVID-19 cases were reported in the state on Monday taking the total cumulative tally to 10,35,287. Consequently, the positivity rate has also come down to a new low of 0.86%.
At present, there are 6,897 active cases in total in the state which is massively less than that in mid-January. No new cases have been reported in about 8 cities of the state while Burhanpur has no active cases at all. Meanwhile, Indore recorded 58 fresh COVID-19 cases, taking the total active case count to 339 cases.

Earlier this month, restrictions imposed on public gatherings and schools, colleges and hostels were also lifted in the state, allowing them to operate at full capacity. Madhya Pradesh CM in a tweet also urged the citizens to show COVID-19 appropriate behaviour, by staying cautious and wearing masks.
