On Saturday night, the Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education announced its decision to conduct the upcoming board examinations for class 10th and 12th students following the old system. This decision was taken after the state’s education department rejected the changes suggested by the board. According to reports, the board authority has already delivered the question sets, which are prepared in accordance with the old pattern.
Students to prepare for the examinations based on the question banks
Reportedly, the school teachers and instructors have been directed to get the children ready for the slated examinations based on the question banks. Additionally, the schools have been asked to hold extra classes for tough subjects like Math, English and Physics.
Given the altered conditions propelled by the COVID pandemic, the board’s Chairman had worked on an alternative framework for conducting the examinations. As per reports, the Chairman had planned for a new pattern of question paper and also suggested changes in the assessment system. However, the state education department disapproved of these provisions and now, the plans have been settled for the old system with no changes in the marking system.
Also, the schools have been unable to complete the entire syllabus, affected by the circumstances of the pandemic. Keeping this in mind, students have been told to prepare for the board exam based on the given question banks.
Board’s Helpline Number for students, teachers & parents
Early this month, the board authorities had launched a helpline number 18002330175 to address all queries of students, teachers and parents regarding the board examination. Functional on all working days from 10 AM to 6 PM, the helpline number gives any required information about the topics covered in the syllabus, amongst other things.
Additionally, a psychologist is also available to address the anxiety issues of the students. Such interventions, like this helpline, become necessary to facilitate a comfortable experience for the students, as they walk through the initial significant academic challenges in life.
