New IPD tower & an Institute of Cardiology building to come up at Jaipur's SMS Hospital

Reports state that the hospital will become the first healthcare facility in the state to have a helipad atop a 22 floored building.

Strengthening the medical infrastructure of the city, the SMS Hospital is all set to house expanded facilities including an Institute of Cardiology. Additionally, reports state that the hospital will become the first healthcare facility in the state to have a helipad atop a 22 floored building. In order to speed up the implementation of this program, firms are being roped in to clear the quarters and other residential structures, where the establishment of the new centres is proposed.

Hospital beds, parking spaces & other resources to be increased

As per reports, it is expected that the planned inpatient department and the Institute of Cardiology will be completed in a period of less than 2 years, once the implementation starts. Proposed to be built over vast expanses of land, both the buildings shall encapsulate a large count of beds, augmenting the available resources for the patients.

Equipped with a helicopter landing facility, increased count of operation theatres, enlarged parking space and other things, the reformed hospital will cater to a large number of patients. During the second wave of the pandemic, the crunch in medical resources brought unprecedented problems for the citizens across the nation. Keeping this in view, the local, state and central authorities are planning interventions to boost the medical facilities.

Jaipur Development Authority to deploy engineers for this project

Notably, the plans were declared in the budget speech and more than ₹90 crores were allotted for this project by the medical education department. Further, reports state large sums of funds will also be sanctioned by Jaipur Smart City Limited and Jaipur Development Authority. In order to assure an easy flow of finances, the JDA will set up a separate bank account and different authorities will transfer their respective shares. It has been reported that JDA will also provide engineers for this project.

UP to soon get a new 200-acre-wide data centre park

The new data centre will come up in Noida's Sector-28

In a bid to cultivate Uttar Pradesh's commercial landscape, the state administration has planned to develop data centre park in Noida. This structure will reportedly spread over 200 acres of land at Sector 28 of the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority and attract investments from IT industry giants in India and abroad.
