When we think of government aided or rural education institutes, infrastructure hardly ever comes to our mind. The furniture, furnishings or the lack thereof is one of the major drawbacks of rural schools.
In order to provide for a better and more rounded education for rural kids, a PhD student from IIT Kanpur- Eshan Sadasiva made an ingenious invention which landed him in Forbes India’s 30 under 30 list of 2020!
What’s the update?
Eshan Sadashiv an IIT-K Alumni and a shining star for rural kids in the country has secured a place in the prestigious Forbes list of 30 under 30. This list which felicitates the achievements of people under 30, mentions Eshan for his strike of genius which is changing the way kids in rural India receive education.
With a singular aim in mind to make learning as much comfortable as possible Eshan has created a school bag cum desk, surprising right? This bag called ‘Deskit’ is a simple solution to the lack of infrastructure that can often be found at schools in rural India.

This bag carries a compact detachable desk which can be zipped off from the bag itself and be used as a flook desk to write on. This not only makes sure that kids have better posture while reading but also ensures that reading, writing and learning are as simple and as comfortable as can be.
The ‘Deskit’ is a product of PROSOC, a company started by Eshan to invent, build and share PROducts for the SOCiety (PROSOC).
