A total of 3 vultures, rescued from different regions of Uttar Pradesh, all belonging to rare species, have been released in the wild in Kanpur by Zoo Authorities. These rare vultures released in Kanpur were rescued from Kanpur’s Idgah graveyard, Farrukhabad and Kanpur Dehat between Jan 7 and Feb 3.
Once rescued, all three vultures were kept under observation in separate isolated enclosures and given medicines to heal. Furthermore, surveillance chips have been tagged to the vultures to keep a tab on them as they step back into their natural habitat.
