The Uttar Pradesh government has appointed a total of 105 Udyami Mitras to address issues faced by investors in the state. These individuals will be in contact with investors, discuss issues at hand, provide solutions to the same and explain to them, in detail, facilities provided by the state government.
Udyami Mitras, have been appointed for different roles. Of the total, 70 posts are for different districts, 10 posts are for UP Invest Office, while the remaining 25 posts are for the Industrial Development Authorities.
These ‘Mitras’ have been recruited for one year and this time-limit can be extended, if needed. Today, the authorities initiated the orientation program.
‘Udyami Mitras’ Orientation Program
The Uttar Pradesh government has launched the 14-day basic orientation programme for ‘Udyami Mitras’ selected under the Mukhymantri Udyami Mitra Yojana.
26 training sessions will be conducted during the orientation programme which will include introduction to various investment-oriented policies, rules, ease of doing business and different portals as well as visits to industrial areas.
Department-wise sessions have been scheduled, including flagship projects of the state government such as trillion-dollar economy, defence industrial corridor along with sessions on revenue code, land bank and rates, allotment procedures, clearances, etc.
After the training process, the govt. will deploy Udyami Mitras in Invest UP office, district headquarters, and industrial authorities to address and resolve issues at the ground level.

The appointment process of Udyami Mitras is carried out by the nodal organisation, Invest UP, working under the Department of Infrastructure and Development.
For these recent recruitments, a written examination was conducted after verification of the applications was received by the screening committee. Subsequently, 350 candidates were selected for the same.
The question paper for the computer test was set by prestigious educational institutions like IIT Kanpur, IIM Lucknow and AKTU Lucknow.
