This Children’s Day, the Indira Gandhi Planetarium in Lucknow has lined up an engaging and educational experience for young visitors. The planetarium campus will host a special one-day event today, featuring science-themed activities, competitions, and quizzes for students as well as the general public.
Quiz, solar gazing & free Aadhaar enrolment
The planetarium aims to spark astronomical curiosity through a series of free competitions for students from Classes 6 to 12, including an astronomy quiz, painting contest, jingle writing, and a ‘Surya Darshan’ session for safe solar viewing using specialised telescopes. All participants will receive certificates, and winners will be announced on November 15.
In a unique addition, a free Aadhaar camp, organised in collaboration with UIDAI, will also run from 9 AM to 5 PM. The camp will issue new Aadhaar cards for visitors, including children, and offer complimentary updates to existing cards.
