This extensive lockdown has surely brought the spotlight on various locals who have been working relentlessly to curb the miseries of the migrants in the city. Joining the bandwagon of local heroes in Lucknow, is another team who has been serving the society since the 29th of March.
“Karke dekho, achha lagega.”
Leading a team of 14 people, Vishal Singh and Nitish Kumar started an initiative to minimise the effects of the COVID-19 crisis at hand. They have provided ration to over 1000 families till date and each package includes the basic food items like atta, chawal, oil and daal, amidst other things. On a daily basis, additionally they’ve been distributing around 10,000 pouches of water, 600 dozens of bananas and umpteen number of biscuit packets to ensure that no needy goes empty-handed.
They’ve been actively working all over Lucknow towards the betterment of the situation for the labourers and the underprivileged during this lockdown and we’re truly in awe of their dedication. They’ve been using their personal funds to keep their initiative afloat and we should all draw inspirations from them!
