Lucknow is all set to welcome a state-of-the-art International Convention and Exhibition Centre under the Avadh Vihar Yojana, with construction planned to meet global standards. Spread across 1.32 lakh square meters, the massive project will accommodate up to 10,000 people and feature four exhibition halls and a grand auditorium with a seating capacity of 2,500.
Lucknow’s hi-tech convention centre in 18 months!
The state government has allotted a budget of ₹1,058.22 crore (excluding GST) and aims to complete the project within 18 months. The facility will be built on an Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) model, and will include modern amenities such as a hi-tech audio-visual system, 300kW solar power station, digital public address systems, and extensive parking facilities for all vehicle types.
Additional features include four iconic 35-meter clock towers, lush landscaping, smart lighting, and advanced security systems including CCTV surveillance, fire-fighting units, and baggage scanners. The centre will also boast Wi-Fi connectivity, an integrated building management system, and customised artwork throughout the premises.
Once complete, this convention centre is poised to become a landmark venue for hosting major national and international events in Uttar Pradesh.
