After a thin blanket of fog in the wee hours of morning that subsided by 7 AM, Lucknowites witnessed a pleasant Tuesday morning with clear skies as the daytime temperatures rose. No alerts have been issued as yet by the Meteorological Department and the city is expected to enjoy good weather for, at least, the next two days.
Relief from icy winds and patches of rain also expected
Owing to recent spells of intermittent rainfall in Lucknow that started around Jan 25, the city experienced icy winds as the unpredictable movement of clouds continued. In fact, the temperatures had suddenly dropped on Monday, Jan 24, as residents were not quite sure if the relief from cold is coming anytime soon.
But Tuesday morning has come as good news for Lucknowites with maximum temperatures reaching 23°C while the minimum temperatures are expected to drop as low as 11°C. According to a senior meteorologist at Lucknow Meteorological Department, Mohd. Danish, Lucknowites will continue to experience a slight drop in the mercury after sundown but the days are expected to be as sunny and pleasant as Tuesday.
