Lucknow’s Chaudhary Charan Singh International (CCSI) Airport has shifted the operations of all international flights from Terminal 1 (T1) to Terminal 3 (T3), to enhance passengers’ experience. This step was undertaken on June 8, 2024, starting from 6 AM.
Following the earlier transition of domestic operations to T3 on April 21, 2024, international carriers including IndiGo Airlines, Air-India Express, Saudia Airlines, and others will now operate from T3. This shift marks the completion of the airport’s phased plan to consolidate all flight operations under one roof.
Modern facilities and expansion plans signal Lucknow Airport’s growth
Terminal 3, inaugurated on March 10, offers modern facilities like Digi Yatra, Self-Baggage Drop, and advanced baggage screening machines. Costing ₹2,400 crore, T3’s passenger capacity is set to increase from 80 lakh to 1.3 crore passengers annually.
Passengers departing from T3 will use the ‘Up ramp’ from Lakshman Circle, while arriving passengers can be received at the ground level. The airport also offers international-to-international transfer facilities and special entry points for guidance.
