Designated vax booths to come up for teachers & state employees across Lucknow & other UP dists

As Uttar Pradesh prepares itself to fight the anticipated third wave, the state government is executing all its efforts to extend the scope of vaccination to as many people as possible. As per the recent developments, the administration has instructed the authorities to establish designated vaccination booths for the immunisation of teachers and state government employees. Reportedly, these centres will be monitored by the block development office at the district and tehsil levels.

Vaccination for citizens between 18-45 to begin in all districts soon

As per reports, the vaccination program for teachers will be implemented by keeping the offices of the Basic Education Minister and District School Inspector as the focal points. Further, the CM has stated that inoculation of all adults will be opened up from June 1, in all districts of the state.

Recently, a nationwide analysis revealed that Uttar Pradesh stands first in the list of states with the largest count of vaccinated beneficiaries in the 18-45 age group. When the vaccination program for all adults started in the country, the Uttar Pradesh government had placed an enormous order of 1 crore vaccine jabs. While a part of this consignment has arrived, it is expected that the manufacturing companies will soon deliver the remaining stocks, facilitating the drives in the state.

More than 1.65 crore doses given to the citizens across the state

3,894 new cases and 11,918 recoveries were reported in the state on Monday. While 16,73,785 positive cases have been registered in the state as yet, 76,703 of these fall under the category of active patients. Further, a total of 1,65,42,234 vaccine doses have been administered to people across various age groups, as yet.
