The all new electric bus to ply in Lucknow from next week

Public transport in Lucknow is currently undergoing a major overhaul. With all the major developments in Lucknow, travelling within the city will soon become a simple task. Owing to these developments, new Electronic Bus will become active on Lucknow roads from next week.

The electronic buses won’t only mark a new era for public transport, but also herald an age of more green and environment friendly transport systems within the city. The electronic buses will ply from Alambagh to Gomti Nagar, covering areas such as Mawaiyya, Charbagh, Vidhan Sabha, Fun Republic and a few more along it’s dedicated route. Fares for the buses will begin from a price of ₹15 and go up to a maximum of ₹40, depending on what route one takes.

The bus will run on a trial basis from 6 in the morning to well past the evening. Currently, the bus is stationed at the highly advanced Alambagh Bus Terminal.

Though the trail run has been delayed by almost a year, it is a step in the right direction. Not only does it mark a milestone event in Lucknow’s development, but also gives commuters a new and a convenient public transport system.

Lucknow’s bus shelters to get a smart makeover!

Earlier in 2018, a modern bus stop was inaugurated by the authorities at Ashok Marg and the construction of a new smart bus shelter was recently completed new Awadh crossing, Alambagh.

All these modern bus-stops will run on solar power and measures will be taken to ensure that passengers do not litter the place.
