A specially-abled child from Indore, Simi Dutt, has won the battle against COVID-19 by staying in home isolation and taking her medication on time. Despite the limitations originating out of an under-developed left lung, a kidney and hand, this class 7 student has managed to overcome all odds with her assuredly optimistic attitude. Simi Dutt's story is an example of bravery, for not only does she have a strong will but she has always strived for self-sufficiency.

Goa curfew extended till 5th July due to rising threat of Delta Plus variant of COVID-19

Earlier, the curfew in Goa was scheduled to be lifted in the morning hours of June 28. However, on Saturday, the Chief Minister of Goa informed via Twitter that the state-level curfew will be extended till 5th July. This decision has been taken as a precautionary measure against the Delta Plus variant of COVID-19. While no cases of this new strain have been reported in Goa as of yet, its neighbouring state Maharashtra has recorded 21 cases, which is the highest tally noted among all states in India.

Indore registers a steep decline in the tally of new infections; curfew to be lifted soon!

The Crisis Management Group conducted a meeting on Sunday, to reflect upon the COVID situation in Indore. The active case tally has dipped down to 1,509 as of 6 June and the recovery ratio has been noted at 97.7 per cent. As per the latest reports, almost 80 per cent of the hospital beds have been vacated, which comes as a sign of huge relief in current times. The situation across the city is showing improvements and in light of these events, it is expected that the curfew will be lifted soon.

First in India, over 5 crore COVID tests conducted across Lucknow & other UP districts

As per the latest reports, more than 5 crore COVID tests have been conducted in Uttar Pradesh, thereby, making it the first state in the country to achieve this landmark. On Tuesday, 3,23,795 individuals across the state were tested for the virus and only 1,221 confirmed cases were reported.

As of now, 5 crore and 32 thousand tests have been carried out. Further, in an attempt to gear up for the probable third wave, the state government has invested in a variety of ways to strengthen the paediatric medical infrastructure.

With an active tally below 600, Kanpur is all set for an unlock from June 1

Ushering in a sigh of relief for the residents of Kanpur, is the dip in the number of covid positive cases across the city. Now that this number has fallen below 600, with 588 active cases reported on 30th May, the state government has announced a phased lockdown from 1st June onwards. Apart from schools, cinema halls, shopping malls, swimming pools and clubs, other establishments will now be functional once again from Monday to Friday and from 7 AM to 7 PM.
