Indore launches new drive-in facilities to expedite vaccination of 45+ citizens

In a bid to accelerate the COVID vaccination drive in Indore, the district administration on Tuesday launched the drive-in vaccination facility for people over 45 years of age. People in this category can now get the COVID jabs conveniently, without having to leave their cars or two-wheelers. Managed by the Health Department and the local administration, the service will be available for 6 days a week, from 9 AM to 5 PM, in every Vidhan Sabha. The provision of on-the-spot registration has also ben made available at these places.

6 drive-in vax centres being set up in Indore to speed up inoculation among the 45-plus citizens

The district administration of Indore is preparing to set up drive-in vaccination centres across Indore for the 45+ age group. A total of 6 such drive-in centres will be coming up in the city to thwart the second surge of covid infections through immunisation. Eligible beneficiaries will be sent into dedicated lanes depending upon their type of transport (four-wheeler or two-wheeler) and computerised receipts will be used to keep a track of the observation time.

Drive-in vaccination centres to come up in Lucknow, Kanpur & 12 other UP districts

After the successful run of the drive-in vaccination centre in Noida, the Uttar Pradesh administration is now trying to set up such sites across 14 more districts. With facilities for free administration of immunity booster jabs to the beneficiaries, these centres shall come up in Lucknow, Kanpur, Varanasi and Prayagraj, amongst other cities in the territory. Initiating the process, the Department of Family Welfare has asked for proposals from the Chief Medical Officers of respective cities, in this regard.

BMC to float global tenders to procure COVID-19 vaccines

In an attempt to accelerate the pace of the COVID-19 vaccination drive in Mumbai, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation has decided to table global tenders for procuring vaccine vials, amid its shortage in India. Reportedly, this move has been initiated in accordance with the directives of the state Guardian Minister. As per the Mumbai Mayor, the tenders will be drafted and floated in the next two days.
