Goa reports zero COVID death for the first time in 4 months on Monday!

In a COVID respite, the state of Goa managed to nullify its virus toll for the first time in 4 months. On Monday, no coronavirus deaths were reported here, the health department announced. The Chief Minister on Tuesday, congratulated the medical fraternity and concerned officials for achieving the zero-casualty feat, after relentless efforts. Goa's average fatality ratio presently stands at 1.8%, aggregating a total of 3,097 virus-related deaths since the pandemic outbreak.

Fatality count dips to a three-month low in Goa as the infection rate dampens!

With the loosening grip of the second wave, the situation has improved remarkably in Goa. Bringing a sigh of relief for the state residents, the death toll clocked just 2 additions on Friday, dipping down to the lowest level since April. Besides this, the active tally has also marked a significant shift downwards, standing at 2,241 patients on Tuesday. As per the official records, 213 new infections and 286 recoveries were recorded in the coastal state on the same day.

Goa's fresh COVID-19 cases breach the 1,000-mark for the first time since the pandemic outbreak!

For the first time since the pandemic broke out, more than 1,000 COVID-19 cases were reported in Goa over the last 24 hours. As per reports, 1,160 new infections were detected across the state on Tuesday, marking the sharpest single-day spike ever. Besides peaking infection, the death toll also surged to report 26 fatalities; the highest ever count.
