Goa 12th Board-GBSHSE HSC Examinations 2021 stand cancelled amid pandemic mayhem

A day after the CBSE Board cancelled its council examination for the batch of 2021, the Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Education (GBHSE) on Wednesday too decided to call off the 12th Board Exams in the state, for this academic year. As announced by the CM on June 2, the GBSHSE HSC Examinations 2021 stand cancelled amid the surging course of the COVID-19 pandemic. As per reports, the Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education will declare the evaluation criteria for the cancelled exams soon.

Goa Board examinations cancelled for grade 10 students amid escalating cases

In view of the inflating infection tallies in Goa, the state government has announced that students of grade 10 will be exempted from the slated board examinations. Declaring this decision, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant stated that all such pupils, enrolled in schools recognised by the state board, will be graded according to the marks obtained by them in internal tests. While the students were troubled by the uncertainties over the end assessment, their worries have been resolved now.

Higher secondary & college students in Goa to take examinations in offline mode, this academic year

Goa Chief Minister on Monday announced that the examinations of higher secondary and varsity students will be conducted in the offline mode, this academic year. He also added that the exams for classes X and XII will be carried out in the same manner as they were held earlier this year. The state is stressing on offline exams this year due to the lack of digital infrastructure, stable networks and accessibility to electronic devices for all students appearing for these exams.
