1st FIA-backed Formula Regional Indian Championship & Formula 4 to be held in Feb 2022!

Adding a dash of thrill to sports events in the country, the FIA-backed Formula Regional Indian Championship and Formula 4 Indian Championship will be organised for the first time in the country, in February 2022. As per the plans, the two categries of races will be held across 4 cities, namey--New Delhi, Chennai, Coimbatore and Hyderabad. Certified by FIA, the events will be based on F3 cars and the winners shall be able to garner benefits for participating in major championships.

Indian Air Force triples its relief operations to resolve the country's COVID crisis!

As the nation deals with the petrifying effects of the second COVID wave, the Indian Armed Forces have put their best foot forward to protect the citizens and strengthen the battle against the pandemic. Recently, the Indian Air Force successfully completed a total of 732 sorties with a flying period of more than 1,419 hours. Strictness to scale at containment zones in Kanpur amid alarming rise of COVID-19 infections!

In a bid to curtail the volatile spread of coronavirus infections in Kanpur, district authorities on Friday, announced to increase surveillance at all containment zones in the territory. As per reports, fresh instructions have been issued to station police officials and beat officers round the clock, at each such restricted areas in the city. These officials will be further assisted by the patrolling officers. Additionally, the Deputy Commissioner of the Police has directed to ensure that no one, except for essential services personnel are allowed entry in places that nurse over one COVID case.

Maharashtra achieves the highest vaccination target in India: 93 lakh COVID jabs administered here

Maharashtra has emerged as the best performer of the national vaccination programme, the officials pointed out. An official data released on April 9 indicated that the state has administered 93,38,531 COVID-19 jabs, the highest across India. This includes 84,35,010 first doses and 903,521-second doses of the coronavirus vaccine. According to this index, Rajasthan and Gujarat stand next in line, with 88,07,351 and 84,75,305 vaccinations, respectively.

Coronavirus cases on a rise in Lucknow; 7 new containment zones listed

As per new orders, about 7 new containment zones have been set up in prominent areas of Lucknow, given the recent surge in coronavirus cases. On Monday, Lucknow reported about 495 new COVID-19 cases, breaching the 400-mark for the second day in succession. As per the recorded data, the present-day infection count has emerged as the sharpest single-day rise since the beginning of 2021.
