Mumbai-Ahmedabad & Lucknow-Delhi Tejas trains resume operations; check details here!

India's first corporate, privately owned trains, Tejas Express got back on track on Sunday, after an 11-month long hiatus due to the coronavirus pandemic. Owned by the IRCTC subsidiary of the Indian Railways, Tejas Express has two operations- from Mumbai to Ahmedabad and Lucknow to New Delhi. Earlier, the trains services were suspended due to the outbreak of coronavirus and the consequent low passenger load. However, the private fleet will now run, to meet the growing passenger demands.

Starting Feb 14, travel from New Delhi-Lucknow & Mumbai-Ahmedabad in the luxury of Tejas Express!

The two IRCTC-owned private trains of Tejas Express, operating from New Delhi-Lucknow and the Mumbai-Ahmedabad will resume services once again from February 14, after almost 10 months of suspension. In a statement released by the IRCTC, the parent authority stated that it is all set to restart the operation of the private fleet of India's first corporate train, Tejas Express, to cater to the growing passenger demand.

IRCTC to resume Lucknow-Delhi Tejas Express! Will run from October 17

Over the past few months, the IRCTC has been reviving train routes and trains which were rendered inoperable due to the coronavirus pandemic. Now, after a long wait, the IRCTC will make their feature rich Tejas Express trains open for public while taking strict precautionary methods to curb the spread of the virus.

The Tejas Express trains, which were plying on Mumbai to Ahmedabad and Delhi to Lucknow route will be up and running starting 17 October, 2020. This comes as a major relief for frequent commuters.

6 new privately-run trains to boost  connectivity in Jaipur

Following the success of the Lucknow-Delhi and Mumbai-Ahmedabad Tejas Express, the Indian Railways has decided to run 150 private trains across 100 networks. The latest set of private trains that has been confirmed are in Rajasthan and 6 of these 9 trains will run from Jaipur.
