Curfew extended in Goa till September 20 to curb impending 'third wave'

Gearing up to fight against the impending third wave of coronavirus, the ongoing COVID-induced curfew has been reinstated for a week in Goa.The government of Goa has extended the statewide curfew till September 20, which was earlier expected to end on September 13. This curfew was first imposed on May 9 and has since been extended, repeatedly.

Hazardous tarballs surface on beaches of Mumbai & Goa yet again

The speedy monsoon winds have washed ashore the hazardous blobs of black oils as tarballs across the Mumbai and Goa coastal periphary. Several beaches in Goa, including those popular among tourists like Anjuna, have formed a black sticky carpet of tarballs raising concerns across. Reportedly, a similar phenomenon has been witnessed across some of the most prominent beaches of Mumbai as well. The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has excavated more than 20,000 kg of tarballs from Juhu and Versova beaches in Mumbai this month.

IndiGo to launch daily flights connecting Lucknow, Mumbai & Indore to other cities!

In a move to boost the connectivity of metropolitan cities with Tier 2 and 3 cities, IndiGo has decided to launch 38 daily flights in the month of September. With this initiative, the airline has tried to ensure improved accessibility of Lucknow, Mumbai and Indore from some other cities in the nation and vice versa.
