In an attempt to ensure safe flight operations from the facility, authorities at Lucknow Airport have decided to deploy scarecrows, bird chasers, thunder bombs, a six-shot launcher, and zon guns to chase away birds if they get dangerously close to aircrafts.
In addition to that, the airport has recently begun using vehicle-mounted devices to keep the birds away from disrupting the flights operating at the airport. Lucknow’s CCSI airport authorities have also conducted Wildlife Hazard and Height Restriction awareness workshops in villages near the airport to reduce the risk of birds hitting aircraft.
