A press release issued by the Central Railway on June 1 has announced a Mega Block in Mumbai on Sunday, June 3 in wake of routine engineering and maintenance work. Here’s what to keep in mind if you’re travelling in local trains tomorrow:
All local slow trains, running between Chattrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus and Vidvavinhar on Central (main) line will be suspended, from 10.55 AM to 03.55 PM.

The downstream trains on this section will be instead diverted to the fast line, from 10.48 AM to 3.49 AM. These services will halt Byculla, Parel, Dadar, Matunga, Sion and Kurla stations and will then be re-diverted on proper down slow line.

Up slow services leaving Ghatkopar from 10:41 AM to 3:52 PM will be diverted on Up fast line between Vidyavihar and CSMT, halting at Kurla, Sion, Matunga, Dadar, Parel and Byculla Stations.

Up Harbour line services towards Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Mumbai leaving Panvel from 10:33 AM to 3:49 PM.

All Down Harbour line services to Panvel/Belapur from CSMT, from 9:45 AM to 3:12 PM will remain cancelled.

Up Transharbour line services from Panvel to Thane between 11:02 AM and 3:53 AM and Down Transharbour line services from Thane to Panvel between 10:01 AM and 3:20 PM will remain cancelled.
However, Suburban train services between Belapur/ Nerul and Kharkopar will run as per schedule. Transharbour line services will also be available between Thane-Vashi/Nerul stations during the block period. Additionlly, trains will be operational on CSMT Mumbai – Vashi section during the block period as well.
