Here’s something for all the adrenaline junkies — The Nawab Wajid Ali Shah Zoological Garden, or dearly called the Lucknow Zoo, is hosting adventure sports in its premises to celebrate the ongoing National Wildlife Week in all fervour. Aand y’all are invited!
From dope activities like glissading zip lining and slithering to experiences that evoke the shooter in you like archery, this could be a rather sporty wildlife week for you!

The adventure sports will be held in the hippo park area of this 100-year old Lucknow Zoo and run till October 7.

The aim of carrying out activities during the wildlife week is to make children aware about animals. And even though awareness has been spread about the big cats, it is high time that the focus shifted on to the birds and primates for a lil while.
The activities are being hosted to attract more crowds to the zoo and will be properly implemented. The authorities have ensured that adequate security will be maintained and the participants will be carefully harnessed to a safety belay line in case they lose balance during an activity like slithering.

The century-old zoo has constantly made efforts in engaging spectators in various activities and innovations. And recreational activities like these encourage the adventurer hidden inside the kids.
Moreover, the Lucknow Zoo has so much to offer besides this, from an AR guided tour to a vibrant yet efficient train for a ride around the park. Meandering through the pathways of the zoo, glancing at the 463 mammals, 72 reptiles and 298 birds that the zoo houses, there’s nothing more fun for a family picnic, is it?
