The 71st edition of the All India Police Athletics Cluster Championships will be organized in Lucknow between March 21 to 25. With a series of sporting contests including athletics, Kho-Kho and cycling the championships are being organized by UP police, during which more than 1300 players from the central police force will take part.
In addition, a new mascot i.e. a Barasingha deer named Tejas, has been unveiled for the upcoming championship at the SSB Frontier Headquarters in Lucknow. The opening ceremony for the event is scheduled to take place tomorrow in the presence of the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh. During the ceremony, a torch relay will also be carried out.
