AMC introduces special vans to collect and recycle religious waste
The Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) has launched “Dharmik Pujapa Nirmalya Collection Vans” to collect religious waste, including flowers, decorations, coconut shells, and old religious images. The initiative, led by AMC’s Solid Waste Department, is designed to ensure the respectful disposal and recycling of such waste, promoting city cleanliness.
Additionally, the AMC has installed dedicated dustbins near temples for the collection of prasad boxes, facilitating proper disposal and recycling where applicable.
