Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) has announced its annual budget for the financial year 2025-26, focusing on infrastructure, sustainability, and public welfare. Initially proposed at ₹14,001 crore, the budget was increased by ₹1,501 crore based on public suggestions, bringing the final amount to ₹15,502 crore.
A major highlight is the 12% rebate for advance taxpayers, encouraging timely payments. Those who have paid advance tax consistently for three consecutive years will receive a 14% rebate (12% + 2%). Additionally, taxpayers who make their payments online will get an extra 1%, bringing the total rebate to 15%.
AMC Budget key highlights
The AMC budget incorporates various developmental projects to enhance urban infrastructure, improve public spaces, and promote sustainability.

A ‘Namo Van’ will be developed at Lal Bahadur Shastri Stadium at a cost of ₹21 crore.

51 white-topping roads will be constructed at a cost of ₹227 crore.

Areas surrounding 20 metro stations will be developed at a cost of ₹270 crore.

Public transport & infrastructure developments
