City Montessori School
CMS alumni, this one’s for you. The uniform has changed, and opinions are divided. The old grey-and-white was understated, unfussy, and available at literally any market in Lucknow. The new one brought colour and personality to the table. But which one actually won? It’s for you to tell.
La Martiniere Boys’ College
La Martiniere Boys has been wearing the most distinctive uniform in Lucknow for longer than anyone can remember, and somehow it never gets old. No other school has come close to that khaki. It’s kind of a 10, what do you say?
La Martiniere Girls’ College
LMGC’s uniform has a quiet confidence to it, blue tunic, belt, tie, and somehow it all just clicks. While most school uniforms play it safe, this one has a distinct identity that’s hard to ignore. It’s not just about tradition, it’s about making a statement with every detail, effortlessly capturing attention.
Study Hall
Pink shirt. Blue trousers. A monogram that means business. Study Hall’s uniform skips the “school” brief entirely and lands somewhere closer to prep school abroad. It’s fancy, it’s a little extra, and honestly, good for them.
Loreto Convent Intermediate College
Loreto Convent’s uniform does something quietly impressive, it gets better as you go up. The light blue top and skirt is elegant enough on its own, but by the time you reach Class 11 and 12, there are suits involved. It’s safe to say the seniors really elevate the look.
Seth M.R. Jaipuria School
Back before the 2018–2019 academic session, Seth M.R. Jaipuria too had that OG maroon and grey combination. Now, they’ve adopted a unique blue and white colour scheme — a white shirt with a distinctive navy blue front placket paired with royal blue trousers. And if you ask us, the combo works really well.
Christ Church College
Not every school needs to make a bold statement with its uniform, and Christ Church proves that. Blue and white, kept consistent across boys and girls, with just enough structure to feel intentional. It’s the kind of uniform that never looks wrong.
Central Academy
Central Academy has had this deep maroon, warm colour scheme for a long time now, understated, put-together, nothing too loud. The only downside is that a lot of Lucknow schools have since picked up the same palette, so it doesn’t feel as distinct anymore. Still a good uniform though, and they did set the tone first. Credit where it’s due.
Delhi Public School
Full green commitment, no second thoughts. It’s one of the more distinct colour choices in Lucknow, and you’ll spot a DPS kid from a distance without even trying. Whether that’s a compliment depends on your taste, but there’s something to be said for a school that sticks to its identity and doesn’t overthink it.
Emma Thompson School Lucknow
Emma Thompson School Pink and grey is not a combination you see often in Lucknow schools, and that alone earns some points. It’s soft, it’s neat, and it doesn’t look like every other school on the block. The grey tunics and trousers balance the pink shirt out well, nothing feels overdone. A quietly confident uniform that doesn’t need to shout.
The Millennium School
The Millennium School stripes on stripes is a risky move, and yet here we are. The striped shirt paired with a striped grey blazer is a lot to take in, but the blue trousers do bring it back down to earth a little. It’s one of the more dressed-up looks in Lucknow, blazer and all, which gives it a certain weight, even if the pattern combination could use some rethinking.
