No matter who you are and what your food preference looks like, everyone loves them some good momos. Call it a dumpling or call it a dimsum, the Tibetan/Nepalese delicacy has us all craving for more. From simple steamed, to deep fried, pan fried, tandoori to chocolate, we have done things to momos that only we can comprehend. To carry on with our obsession with momos, here’s a list of our favourite momo joints in Kanpur.
Chinese Cafe

Chinese Cafe in Swaroop Nagar is a gift for vegetarians. The cafe only serves vegetarian momos and don’t come at me, because they are good! The classic steamed is of course the best but if you are a lover of spice you’ve got to try their Red momos. If it’s not clear from the name, they serve momos doused in a fiery red sauce. *whimpers*
Momo Hunger

Momo hunger is one of the newer places in town. With a ton of options of our favourite dish the joint has already become all the rage. They have a number of options, gravy dipped momos, doused in cheese, dessert momos to momo chat, tawa fried momos and classic steamed, if you think it-they have it.
Taste Mafia

Taste Mafia is another one of Kanpur’s favourites. Though they don’t have a ton of options, the one they do is pretty darn decent. If haven’t tried their version of momos- the ‘Chaukas tandoori momos’, well you’re missing out on life and good grub.
Silver Spoon

If you’re a fan of the classics, well silver spoons is the place for you. The classic steamed momos and the tandoori ones here are simply mind blowing. You cannot go without tasting the delicious and superbly roasted momos.
WOW! Momo

WOW Momo is one of the most well known momo chains in the country. The number of options you get here are simply incomparable. From classic steamed, pan fried, to deep fried and chocolate, they have it all. Though, we would recommend gorging on the classic here.
