The Writers Hub is known in the city as the flag-bearer of literature and poetry. The organisation has time and again given budding writers, poets and literary enthusiasts of Lucknow a stage to showcase their talents and enjoy the finer arts. Keeping the flare for literature, poetry and language alive, The Writers Hub is teaming up with Rekhta foundation to bring to Lucknow its biggest poetic evening.
“Shaam-e-Rekkta” is an event in Lucknow which will be celebrating the beauty of Urdu with the medium of nazms, ghazals and shayaris.

A poetic evening
Shaam-e-Rekhta will be a one-of-a-kind event for Lucknow, where people from all walks of life will come together to celebrate the beauty of language and words that fall like nectar from the tongue.
The entire event will comprise of two different poetic segments, ‘Nazm-e-Bahaar’ and ‘Shayar Aur Shayari’. With the subjects of love, life, longing, peace and togetherness, these segments will be rousing, touching, motivating and will keep you emotionally involved.
‘Nazm-e-Bahar’ will be a recitation of glorious nazms, short style of poetry by four well-known writers/poets of Lucknow. Among the list of highly accomplished poets, Chandra Shekhar Varma, Vikram Srivastava, Iftikhaar Khan, and Ritesh Singh Rajwada will present their nazms at this segment of the event.
While, ‘Shayar Aur Shayari’ will be a poetical event that mixes the old world charm and contemporary allure of ghazals, to blend and create a realms of sublime poetry and profound wisdom. For this ghazal segment, The Writers Hub will have six prominent writers from Lucknow – Manish Shukla, Abhishek Shukla, Shivendra Singh, Qamar Abbas Qamar, Salman Khayal and Devang Pratap Singh.
