The Lucknow metro North-South corridor is finally open! Although the metro ride makes daily commute really easy, it can be a hard task for those taking the metro for the first time. The North-South corridor covers 21 stations and has a length of about 23 kilometers. The fares, routes, nearest stations and every information can be obtained through the LMRC app (Official). It will add convenience to the metro and make travelling a more seamless experience.

Lucknow metro’s complete North-South route was inaugurated on 8th March and then opened to the public on 9th March. Since yesterday, the metro has seen a massive footfall and reinstates that it will truly reshape the public transport system in the city.

The app that LMRC has launched aims to make matters even more convenient as it provides a complete list and map of all stations, the nearest metro station to your location, gives an idea of how much the fare would be and many other facilities. Apart from all this, it lists out the do’s and don’ts while travelling in the metro, provides information on how to operate the automated ticket vending machines and even lets you recharge your smart card on the go.

The app is rather similar to the one used for Delhi metro and is simple to use. This increases the appeal of the app and with the added benefits, it’s a must have if you’re going to frequent the metro. Though the app was released back in January 2018, it has recently been updated with the complete route and reworked fares.
