On account of the winter session of the Uttar Pradesh assembly, Lucknow’s traffic management has been altered for three days, starting today. The traffic and police department has released a list of route diversions which will remain effective till 17th December. Heavy vehicles coming from Mahanagar will not be allowed to go towards the Sankalp Vatika flyover to Sikanderbagh, Hazratganj and Vidhan Sabha. The vehicles will be diverted to Baikund Dham, 1090 intersection, Bandariyabagh, Lalbatti and towards the Cantt area. Buses coming from Sankalp Vatika bridge towards Hazratganj will be diverted towards Baikunth Dham and the 1090 crossing.
Heavy Vehicles coming from Gomtinagar will not be allowed to move towards Sikandarbagh, Hazratganj and Vidhan Sabha. Commuters will have to take the Baikund Dham, Sankalp Vatika flyover, chiraiya jheel, Kaiserbagh or Gandhi Setu, Bandariya Bagh route instead. Moreover, the buses from the KKC turn will not be allowed to move towards Vidhan Bhavan, the vehicle will be diverted towards the loco crossing and Kaiserbagh intersection.

The movement of traffic from Loreto Convent crossing towards Bandariya Bagh crossing will be diverted towards Lal Bahadur Shastri trisection. From the Bandariya Bagh crossing, vehicles will not be allowed towards Raj Bhawan as the traffic will be diverted towards Loreto college crossing and Women Powerline(1090) crossing.
People travelling from DSO crossing towards Hazratganj and GPO park will be diverted towards park road. Traffic from Parivartan Chowk and Sikander Bagh Crossing will also not be allowed to move towards Hazratganj. Additionally, vehicles coming from Bapu Bhawan towards Hazratganj will be diverted to Kaiserbagh and Burlington intersection.
