Throwing some light of hope on the current covid situation in the city, it has been reported that Lucknow has noticed a descend in the number of positive corona cases in contrast to the initial phase of September. The present recovery rate of patients is marked at 88% and the number of new cases has been falling continuously for the past two weeks. As compared to the average 850-900 cases reported on a daily basis, now the number has gone down to less than 500. Within a span of 24 hours, just 351 covid victims were reported.
55,717 confirmed covid cases in Lucknow as yet
As of today, Uttar Pradesh has 4,20,937 covid cases looming right now and 3,70,753 have recovered and gone back home in good health. The state has reported 6,153 fatalities and the tally of active cases is standing at 44,031. The capital city on the other hand, has documented 55,717 confirmed corona patients and 754 expiries have been observed so far. 49,410 patients have sprung back from the disease till date and in just the last 24 hours, 539 citizens have recuperated.
Approximately, 21,000 citizens who have mild symptoms of this contagious virus, are in home isolation. According to reports, the city administration has conducted over 6 lakh covid tests in Lucknow, which is one of the main reasons of decline in the number of positive cases. On Sunday itself, a little shy of 1.50 lakh tests were conducted in the state.
