The Directorate of Technical Education, Goa has altered the schedule for the Goa Common Entrance Test (GCET). According to the new timetable, tests shall be conducted on June 15 and 16. For this, the application forms will be made available on the website on May 10, after which all interested candidates can undertake the registration process. As per the guidelines given by the central authority, the aspirants will have to download and submit the forms on the virtual platform.
Applications to be submitted between May 17 and May 22
While May 17 to 22 has been designated as the interval for the submission of application forms without the late, the portal will accept forms till June 4. After 22 May, an additional charge shall be added to the usual fee. Post the tests are conducted, results will be declared on June 22.
Under the current examination pattern, three different tests shall be conducted for Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM). The Physics and Chemistry papers are both scheduled for June 15 from 10 AM to 12 PM and 2 PM to 6 PM, respectively and the Math test shall be conducted on June 16 from 10 AM to 12 PM.
15 centres for GCET exam across the state of Goa
15 locations have been spotted across Goa for holding the GCET exam, which includes Tiswadi Cujira(Bambolim), Panaji, Verna, Navelim, Vasco, Mapusa, Ponda, Ponda(Farmagudi), Bicholim, Curchorem, Porvorim, Assagao, Sanquelim, Cuncolim and Dharbandora.
Based on the class 12th curriculum of the Goa Board, these exams are being held to select and induct students in engineering and pharmacy courses. While engineering aspirants will have to appear for all three tests of physics, chemistry and math, B. Pharm aspirants will not have to answers questions from the mathematics part.
