Informing about the latest intervention, a tweet by the CM Office account, affirmed that the honorariums have been increased to motivate professionals for their continuous efforts. After a year of battle against the pandemic, the second COVID wave has stretched the works of the medical fraternity beyond its limits.
At some places, doctors have been away from their families for weeks, guaranteeing regular care and attention to the COVID patients. In view of their relentless efforts, this appraisal comes at the right instance. As per reports, the additional amount will be provided for the isolation period as well, which succeeds duty in the COVID ward.
In a bid to expand the pool of healthcare professionals in the state, the administrative establishment is also trying to rope in final-year students from medical and paramedical courses.
