In a bid to avoid traffic congestion, the Goa administration is all set to establish a designated parking area for two-wheelers at the Kadamba Bus Terminus in Panaji. After inspecting the bus terminus, the authorities have planned to map out a few measures to increase safety and offer convenience to the public. Read on to know more about this initiative undertaken by the Kadamba Transport Corporation Limited (KTC) and the transport department of the coastal state.
Toll collection point to be replaced with proper booth

As a part of this development project, the administration will also replace the existing toll collection point at the Kadamba bus terminus with a proper booth. Apart from this, broken gutters, slabs and shades that cause inconvenience to the people at the bus stop will also be repaired under the ambit of this project.
In addition to this, the officials will also ensure that the debris, interlocking pavers, old boards, worn-out signage and outdated notices are removed from the bus stop by March 31. In place of the old signage, new colour-coded signboards will be set up from the city bus stand to the main terminus. Moreover, additional zebra crossings for pedestrians, stop lines will also be put in place.
Signboards for no parking and pay parking areas will also be put up at the bus terminal to ensure people follow the traffic management system. The administration will also undertake special efforts to spread awareness about road safety by putting up such messages and helpline numbers on display.
