Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) have signed Rajat Patidar to replace the injured Luvnith Sisodia for the remainder of the TATA Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022. After excelling in domestic cricket, Rajat Patidar will now join the TATA IPL 2022. RCB has once again picked Rajat for the remaining matches for this year’s league for a signing amount of ₹20 lakh. So far, he is the third player from Indore and the fifth from Madhya Pradesh to play in the 15th season of IPL.

This will be the fifth time Rajat will join the RCB squad as a batsman. His IPL career has been a very short one with just 4 innings to his credit in which he scored a total of 71 runs. However, Rajat has played a total of 31 T20s for Madhya Pradesh where he scored a total of 861 runs with the help of 7 half-centuries.
Considering his cricketing career, Rajat could be a stable addition to the top order of the Bangalore-based franchise in IPL 2022. However, it will depend upon the team management that will define the right role for the right-hand batter, making it interesting to see how many games he gets to play this year.
Royal Challengers Bangalore has so far played three matches in this season of IPL, out of which they lost one match against Punjab Kings and won two matches against Kolkata Knight Riders and Rajasthan Royals. After an unstable start in the tournament, it will be crucial to see, how the management makes changes in the upcoming matches.
