Tourists in and around Indore are in for a treat in the next few days. This is because they will get free entry into the Narmada Fossil Museum in the Ralamandal Wildlife Sanctuary for the remainder of December.
It is noteworthy that the work on the museum has not been completed in its entirety but the Indore Forest Division has decided to open it to the public.
Charges will be levied for entry from January
Stepping into the fossil museum, tourists will get to witness preserved dinosaur eggs, fish and sea creatures, giant trees, and rocks dating back centuries. Apart from these, the museum also boasts a rich collection of ancient coins and hunting weapons used by tribes of antiquity.
Plans are also underway to allow free entry for school children even after January, for educational purposes. It is noteworthy that the ticket rates for entry into the museum are yet to be decided and they will be levied from January- when an agreement on the prices is reached.
