With the launch of the second season of Digital Children's Fair, a new platform has been provided to young kids for expressing their opinions about the government. Inaugurating the event, the speaker of the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly affirmed that the first session of the children's government will be convened on Children's Day, 14 November this year. While the kids are not a part of democratic processes, it would be interesting to know their views about the administration.
Sessions with ministers, MLAs, MPs between June 15 and August 15
Speaking at the inaugural event, the speaker mentioned that pandemic has locked young kids within the confines of their homes. Now, the Digital Children's Fair will help them to express their feelings about the current situation and perceptions about the government. Besides, it would also boost their creativity and imaginative skills, inspiring them to look for solutions.
Being executed by collaborative efforts of Fortune Society and LIC, Digital Children's Fair will witness interactive sessions between the kids and various elected representatives. Scheduled between 15 June and 15 August, the sessions will invite ministers, MLAs, MPs and other dignitaries to address the kids virtually. Reportedly, the idea behind this initiative was incepted by Jahnvi Sharma and now, it is expected to benefit a large count of kids.
At the inaugural function, Jahnvi shared a video prepared by the kids with the Vidhan Sabha speaker. Releasing the clip, the high authority mentioned that fair would allow the kids to present their arts and skills.
Children from across the country can participate in the festival
As per reports, children from different areas of the country are allowed to participate in this fair.
