IIT Kanpur has initiated applications for their summer internship programs, aiming to promote research and interdisciplinary education.
The application window opened on March 18th, and today is the final day for submissions. Both IIT-K students and students from other colleges can apply. Interested applicants can register for the intership via surge.iitk.ac.in website.
Eligibility criteria and course details
The internship program at IIT Kanpur is a component of the Students-Undergraduate Research Graduate Excellence (SURGE) initiative. The program is scheduled to commence on May 10 and will run until July 12, spanning eight weeks.
Indian students from non-IITK institutions with a CPI of 6 or above are eligible to apply for the summer internship at IIT Kanpur. Students pursuing the following academic degrees are eligible to participate in the internship program:

B.Tech/BE/B-Arch/BS (3rd year completed),

Five year degree program (3rd year completed, 4th year completed)

B.Sc/B.A. (2nd year completed)
-
M.Sc. 2-Year (1st year completed)
Course fees and additional details
The registration fees are waived for IIT Kanpur students. Non-IIT Kanpur students are required to pay a non-refundable fee of Rs 750 at the time of registration. After the announcement of the selected participants, an administrative charge of Rs 4,000 will be applicable for non-IITK students. Throughout the internship duration at the IIT Kanpur campus, boarding and lodging expenses will be covered by the participants themselves.
In addition to offering internship opportunities to Indian students, the program is also open to students from other SAARC countries.
