Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police, Shravan Kumar Singh apprised that the current intervention is being implemented with an objective to improve the traffic situation in the city. It is often observed that some individuals park their vehicles in front of the homes and other establishments which leads to a clutter on the road. This obstructs a smooth movement of vehicles on the roads, deteriorating the traffic conditions in the city.

Vehicles to be challaned via quick action

Once the police officials receive a complaint, the staff at the nearest station will take quick action making sure that that all vehicles in the ‘no parking zones’ and residential areas are removed. As per the given information, such vehicles shall be challaned and the owners will have to pay the fine amount.
Reportedly, the officials might also get these vehicles towed by a crane if need be. According to the ADCP, the complaints will be received directly in the control room and the required help shall be provided as soon as possible.
