If you’re a citizen of Lucknow or are in the city for some purpose currently, you would’ve noticed the extravagant preparations and embellishments taking place everywhere around you.
The three-day Uttar Pradesh Global Investors Summit (GIS-23) that has sparked these joyous modifications is set to commence today! The GIS-23 also deems to be a zero-waste event. In order to achieve the target of a zero-waste affair, the government has deployed 1,150 sanitation workers. Moreover, as many as 100 steel dustbins will be installed, besides the construction of 250 toilets, at the venue in Vrindavan Yojna.

Lucknow is glowing in grandeur, too. From the viaduct pillars of the Lucknow Metro bedecked in aesthetic artwork depicting the culture and heritage of the city to trees and pillars shining in the Tricolour, the city looks like a panoramic sight.
Besides the aforementioned, efforts are also being made to alleviate any traffic woes that may rise during the event. A list of traffic diversions and alternate routes has been released to streamline movement. At the same time, resident welfare associations and delegates will be made aware of the route diversions.
Splendid arrangements for delegates & guests
Preparations are also in full swing to welcome guests in all vigour and fervour. Some 10,000 delegates, from India and some 41 other countries, are expected to attend the grand affair.
The state government has arranged 45 hotels and three tent cities for the guests. A splendid pavilion stall is also being installed at ‘Yamuna Hall’ at the UPGIS showcasing investment and business opportunities for investors, vendors, and firms. It has a dedicated meeting lounge for discussions.
