The railway crossing lying between Khargapur and Suryanagar Para of Gomti Nagar extension is situated along a crucial route, frequently used by commuters from the nearby areas, as well as vehicles traveling from the Gomti Nagar area to the Khargapur area of Gomti Nagar extension.
As a result of this, the route tends to experience heavy traffic congestion. And to resolve this, UP PWD and Northern Railways have planned to construct a new overbridge on the Khargapur – Suryanagar Para crossing route. Lucknow division of Northern Railways has also prepared a feasibility report for the same.
Reportedly, DRM, Northern Railways Lucknow Division, Suresh Kumar Sapra said, “Permission has been granted for the construction of railway crossings at Khargapur and Suryanagar Para. Once constructed, the bridge will provide relief from the traffic snarls in the area.”
