The Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation began the service of non-stop roadways buses between Lucknow and ten major cities yesterday. The buses will be travelling to and from Gorakhpur, Delhi, Behraich, Azamgarh, Dehradun, Haridwar, Varanasi, Balrampur and Gonda. This service is being implemented to help with the festive rush and will go on till November 11.
262 buses allotted!
A total of 262 buses have been allotted by the UPSRTC and will be running from the Alambagh, Kaiserbagh, Charbagh and Kamta Bus Stations. Out of these, 54 buses will be running on the Delhi route, while 51 will be running on the Gorakhpur route. Moreover, 32 buses will cover the Balrampur-Gonda route, 24 will cover the Behraich route, and 37 will cover the Azamgarh route. Finally, 17, 15, 12 and 10 buses will be servicing the Kanpur, Dehradun, Haridwar and Varanasi routes, respectively.

The buses will be running every hour from the stations mentioned above. These include regular as well as Janrath Buses. Passengers can either book their tickets on the UPSRTC website or at the station itself, at their convenience. Additional personnel have also been assigned at the stations to ensure the smooth operation of these buses.
