Commuters on the Mumbai Trans Harbour Link (MTHL), will now encounter a toll of ₹350 for a single car trip, as per the Maharashtra Cabinet’s decision. MTHL is set to be inaugurated on January 12.
Originally proposed at ₹500, the Urban Development Department revised the rate to ₹350. The toll, effective from 2024 to 2053, will witness a 6% annual increase. Additional rates include mini buses at ₹560, bus/2-axle trucks at ₹1,180, 3-axle trucks at ₹1,290, 4-6 axle vehicles at ₹1,850, and oversized vehicles at ₹2,250. The MTHL, India’s longest sea bridge, promises to significantly cut travel time between South Mumbai and Chirle.
