Indian Railways to flag off special 'South India Darshan' train from Indore on November 27

In a bid to revive tourism in the southern states of the country, the Indian Railways has decided to flag off the 'South Indian Darshan' special train from Indore. Through this attractive tour package, the special train will take people across several prominent places in Madhya Pradesh, starting November 27. Air passengers in Indore can now travel freely without a negative RT-PCR report

Amid the receding wave of coronavirus in Indore, the district administration has ordained airport authorities to relax certain travel norms. Now, passengers flying to and from the airbase are not required to produce a negative COVID RT-PCR test report to board the flight. Further, they are also exempted from showing their vaccination certificate to gain permission for entry in the airport or the aircraft. Other protocols such as masks and face shields will remain prevalent.

Western Railways to flag off 7 pairs of trains from Indore, easing connectivity & commute

In wake of the sloping graph of the coronavirus infection, the Western Railways has decided to soon unlock the operations of about 7 pairs (14 services) of trains to and fro Indore and the neighbouring Dr. Ambedkar Nagar (Mhow) stations. As per reports, other trains too, will be inducted later into the functional fleet of the railways soon. Until now, railway services were running as a 'special' force, where travel was permitted only by the authority of a confirmed reservation.
