New butterfly park with over 27 species at the Kanpur Zoo opens gates for visitors!

In a recent upgrade, a new Butterfly Park has been set up at the Allen Forest Zoo in Kanpur. As per reports, this one-of-a-kind garden was inaugurated by the Environmental Minister on October 2 to commemorate Wildlife Week in the state. Built on the lines of the Bannerghatta Biological Park in Karnataka, the Titli Park is worth ₹2.57 crores and houses about 27 different and special species of butterflies.

Boosting the healthcare services in the state, Kanpur's GSVM Medical College will soon start OPD operations across 12 new super-specialty departments at the institute. Exam centres of Kanpur's CSJMU to be monitored by observers & tech experts to prevent cheating

The exam centres at Kanpur's Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University will now be monitored by a technical expert, apart from the observer. While this will be applicable for sensitive centres, a control room has been set up from where a team of experts shall monitor more than 450 exam centres populated by almost 4 lakh students. This decision has been taken by the university's administration after a recent case of mass cheating was anonymously reported during the final exams.
