The Lucknow Municipal Corporation (LMC) has taken proactive steps to address mounting complaints about open manholes across the city. LMC has now introduced a dedicated hotline number – 6390909044, using which the residents can report open manholes promptly, allowing for swift action.
This initiative follows a tragic incident involving an 8-year-old minor falling into a manhole in Lucknow. In response, 72 manholes across the city have already been fixed.
Accessible via WhatsApp, the hotline-based complaint system encourages residents to send photos of the site, ensuring prompt verification and response to critical safety concerns.
